Each book purchased is a donation to the KC Library Friends enabling us to continue our support of the Kansas City Public Library. We are grateful for your contributions.

Rest assured that these are books stored in our warehouse for months and packaged in plastic bags with minimal handling!

Arrangements for pick-up will be made after purchase of the book.

Old Swedish Fairy Tales was published in 1925 by Penn Publishing Co, written by Anna Wahlenberg and translated by Antoinette DeCoursey Patterson. This hardback book has several black and white illustrations and six exquisite color plates. Note that the binding has separated.

Announcing our third book for sale!

Tales from McClure's War, by General Nelson A. Miles, published in 1898 by Doubleday.This small book (5.75 by 4.75 inches, 193 pages) packs a punch.

Nelson Miles, Major General for the North, describes personal accounts of bravery as described by officers on both sides of the Civil War. This hardback book contains a few black and white illustrations throughout. It is in good condition.

Girl Scout Handbook Intermediate Program, published in 1950. The first edition was printed in 1947; this “impression” printing is 3 years later. Hardcover, good condition.

The Handbook has beautiful illustrations and 3 pages of autographs in the back. Badges the girl scouts might earn included Raising Rabbits, Beekeeping, Food Canning, Good Grooming, and Back Yard Camping to name a few. The price is $15.

Announcing our first book for sale!

Ballads and Other Verses by Rudyard Kipling, published in 1897 by Henry Altemus, first United States edition. Rudyard Kipling won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1907. He was the first English-language author to receive the prize and at age 41, the youngest recipient. It is a Hardback book in very good condition. The price is $70.
